About Studio 23

Led by experienced artist and art psychotherapist Paul Radburn, Studio 23 is an arts resource in Northumberland designed to facilitate personal and social growth through art-making.

Individuals and small groups are able to visit the studio for therapy or other creative workshops, or Paul can provide the materials to run sessions in schools, in care facilities or in community settings.

About Art Therapy

Art Therapy is a way of working therapeutically with people using art as the primary mode of expression and communication. By exploring different colours, textures, shapes and materials, art is used to explore our emotions and experiences. This way of working can be used with people who are experiencing a mental health crisis but it can also be used as a tool to promote creative expression, confidence and communication.

About Me

My name is Paul and I am a fully-qualified Art Psychotherapist with over twenty years’ experience of working in arts-related therapeutic care. In addition to extensive experience within the NHS in inpatient and outpatient settings, I have also worked in schools and community centres, as well as in private practice.

Alongside this, I have exhibited my own work nationally and internationally, including at Tricycle in London and at Museum Voor Kunst An Zee in Belgium.
